Our goal is to support our members’ desire to live with dignity and help them to achieve their personal goals. Peak Supportive Services is committed to providing comprehensive, high-quality services; advocacy; and family partnerships. About The Founders

Kris Abbott was the Director of Client Services for both Sages Elder Care and GoodLife Senior Care. Her responsibilities included training and oversight of the caregiver team, creating client service plans that met the seniors' needs, scheduling care services, and coordinating with the clients and their families on an ongoing basis as care needs to change and/or grow over time. Kris has a strong passion to help others. She has lived in Colorado Springs since 1979, graduating with honors from Colorado College with her degree in Sociology. Before entering the For-Profit sector, Kris spent twenty-one (21) years with Rocky Mountain Health Care Services, a large local Non-Profit agency, developing and managing programs to assist seniors in our community. She served as the Program Administrator for the El Paso/Teller County Single Entry Point contract with the State of Colorado from 1995- 2007. She was integral to the startup of Rocky Mountain Brain Injury Services during that time. From 2007-2016, Kris was the Program Administrator/VP of the PACE program (Program of All-Inclusive Care of the Elderly).

Bregitta Hughes is on a mission to help the underserved build grow and thrive. Bregitta has over 25 years of working in this community, advocating and developing programs where there is a lack of needed services. During her 25-year tenure as Vice President at Rocky Mountain Health Care Services, Bregitta has proved that her extensive knowledge of brain injuries and truly understands the needs of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) survivors, and their families. Bregitta was responsible for the oversight of Rocky Mountain Brain Injury Services programs for more than 15 years, serving more than 100 TBI clients through residential and day treatment programs. Bregitta was appointed by then Governor John Hickenlooper to serve on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Medical Service Board, where she participated in making decisions to review, address and improve Colorado Medicaid processes. Bregitta was one of the original Program Administrators for the El Paso/Teller County Single Entry Point contract with the State of Colorado. Noting the lack of adequate housing supports for the disabled in the community, Bregitta started investing in real estate, primarily focusing on creating more affordable housing for low-income families.

Health And Wellness Consultant 

Paige Atwood is a Board Certified Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP- BC).She has lived in Colorado Springs for over 18 years. Paige Atwood has been a registered nurse since 1986. In 2005, she obtained her Masters in Nursing at Florida Atlantic University with a focus in Gerontology and fragile populations. She has additionally worked in Hospice and Palliative care services for over 19 years and continues to be involved in that specialized aspect of patient and family care needs. Her extensive experience has included hospital nursing in the medical/surgical areas; wound care; cardiac nursing; home care nursing; Hospice and Palliative and Primary Care. Her passion is to provide holistic, integrated care for our disabled population with the goal of treating the body and spirit and preserving quality of life.
